Coverage and how to read this overview
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

the only ones that i know of that are available are made by orton performance and RUF. vf-engineering is developing a kit (i think, but i wouldn't hold my breath if i were you)... than on the turbo side, TPC should be availalbe soon. there is an endless amount of forced injection information on this site, do a search and you'll be reading for days. or: ortonusa.com rufautocentre.com tpc-racing.com
Basically the only kit that you can buy that is retail-ready is the RuF. Orton, TPC, etc are developing turbo kits which I think they are deploying one at a time (for now) and not really just bolt-ons; I would consider them to be more like custom installs. Too bad for us!
The difference in the various supercharger options currently and soon to be available is how involved you want to be in research and development. Generally speaking, the less up-front cost units make you an active part of the team, whereas the higher-cost units, i.e. RUF, are developed to a factory spec level. As with many aspects of life, you pay your money and make your choice.

first i want to thank everyone for the help so far... This car is a daily driver (when the weather is there, i live in chicago) i knew getting into this that is that i would be paying in between 10 to 15 K (thank God for credit) i truly believe that the cayman is going to be the new 911 over time... i have done the exhaust and header and software upgrades and im not saying its not enough... but i really want to see what this car can do... all of you info is extremly helpfull an i really do appreciate it..
$34,950 including install. for the RUF supercharger kit (last time i spoke with them)... $21,200 for a 3.8L engine swap (listed on orton's website) so if you have that much money to spend on it, i'd say get the 3.8L engine swap and spend the $13,750 difference on a good suspension and brakes, you'll probably want/need both of those with the extra power either way.
I just have to find a way to justify the power gains for almost half of what i initially spent on the car... I have one other outlet though... I just talked to my friend who owns the show where i get all my work done at and he might be able to help me out... hope that works out cuz 40 k is stretching it if you know what i mean..
I think your options are to realistically wait till spring (and hope a few more ktis are ready for primetime) or do a 3.8L swap. All things being equal, I would take a motor swap over aftermarket FI any day of the week. Aftermarket FI on an NA motor never runs perfect.
Never say never, Grasshopper.
