Anyone know how or where to find instructions detailing how to remove the rear dash on the interior of an 02 996. There are two flaps, one on each side, that lift up but there isn't anything inside to undo. I have the Bose system so there are two ducts behind the rear seat backs. It seems there are two panels: the front one has the ducts and the flaps and the rear one extends to the base of the rear windscreen. I have one of the online pdf manuals for the mk1. In the interior section it shows how to remove all the interior panels except the rear dash.

Coverage and how to read this overview
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Not sure I understand your question but to remove the sub box you pop off the trim around the ducts. Under there are two (one on each side) torx screws. Remove those and to box slides forward a bit and you can lift it off the brackets.
