I bought OEM aero skirts and the mounting kit for my 2002 C2. I dry fit them yesterday and while almost all the mounts are obvious, it isnt clear where the inner mount at the rear attaches. Do I leave the black plastic trim piece on, and put the aero skirt on top of that? Or am I missing a piece? Right now the inner end of the skirt is just floating in space. The pictures are of the drivers side rear, with the wheel off. Hopefully that helps make sense of the picture.

Coverage and how to read this overview
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

That gets a speednut for a screw that retains one of the underpans.

I see the speed nut in the install hardware kit, but I guess I’m missing the underpan? Edit: Looks like I’m missing 996.504.129.01
That looks like the correct pan. Buy a bunch of the plastic nuts that retain the pans, they wear out after a couple uses.
