Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

4 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I just saw this ad on the For Sale forum: https://rennlist.com/forums/vehicle-...ml#post9772625 On there is a 996 Cup car with a "Sprint RSR" engine that puts out 440 horsepower from a 3.6 liter block! Now I know race motors can get away with crazy output in the name of performance but I was just wondering if anyone had the specs on it? That's a lot of power without any forced induction and still with a 3.6. Just wondering...

POST 2Original post

Not sure but I had the pleasure of driving a friend's 410hp NA Gt3 a while back. That car was a monster! I couldn't believe the acceleration that it had- truly in Twin Turbo territory and then some. I would be interested in learning more about the evolution of the 440hp engine...

POST 3Original post

I would love to see a dyno off one of the WC 996 cars, I've seen quotes of 475, 480 around the net so that particular quote of "440 minimum" seems right, possibly underestimated for a safety margin on a selling point.

POST 4Original post

Don't the current RSRs put out 650hp? I think I read that. Maybe it was in the high 5s...
