Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

5 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Ok - so I hooked up my battery to the terminal in the fusebox as instructed - and I was able to get the bonnet (trunk) open but the rear deck won't open? I understand it is best to jump start from the terminals in the engine compartment. Any ideas? O

POST 2Original post

If you have the bonnet open, you should have access to the battery, so just jump it from there.

POST 3 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

ya I did - apparently not enough power to operate the rear hatch with the battery pack plugged in. Added leads for the battery maintainer and will plug it in when gone for more then a week. O

POST 4Original post

The pull out terminal in the fuse box only energizes a seperate circuit controlling the front hatch.

POST 5 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Manual said it energizes both hatches - front and rear - and you can hear the rear clicking - just not enough juice or something? Silly to have the jumper hookups in the rear if you can't get to them?
