Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

6 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

  • Rennlist: 1 discussions

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Hi guy's did a bit of a search could't find any answers, could some one tell me where to find the engine No. on a 2003 996 please. thank you all help greatly appreciated cheers Rob.

POST 2Original post

The larger issue might be does the car retain the original engine. A simple solution is to order the Certficate of Authenticity of PCNA, and then compare with the engine's stamping. relinuca

POST 3Original post

I think you can see that with the Durametric software - I have no idea where to look physically on the engine.

POST 4Original post

Though, on second thought, that's probably just the ECU's serial number. So, sorry, I'm of no use at all!

POST 6Original post

here it is, you might miss it as I doubt yours is this nice and clean. let us know the number when you get to it.

This is a source reference. Confirm exact model applicability in the original material.
