Last few days after a ride I'm losing about a 1/2 pint or less of coolant. THe leak is rear left, actually dripping off the center of the left side exhaust tip. Water pump or coolant tank? Is this a DIY or do I need to take it to the stealer?

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Left side is where the expansion tank is located. MY '99-'01 has a smaller tank than '02+ and the smaller tank goes in easier but costs 2X more than the newer and bigger tank. Mine is '03 and I had to drop the engine (easy). Somewhat fiddly and tight but doable. Stealers charge a bunch for this job. I'd say it's a DIY with average skills.
when my 99/ C2 coolant tank went thats exactly where it was leaking...I though coolant was coming out of the exhaust pipe. I paid a shop to change it. 2 years later looking back (after recently changing the water pump myself) I dont think it would have been that tought since I changed out some hoses going to it.
Drop the engine to do this ????????????????????????????????? Not according to this video. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nT2A-G0uinE
You have to get under the car and find out where the coolant is coming from. Tank, WP, Aos are all candidates. Pressure test will probably tell you what the problem is if its not obvious. Don't fool around with a coolant leak, even a brief overheating can grenade your motor.
