Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

9 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Is there any way to fix this? The disc is longer able to stay put. I considered Lloyd's mats, but they only have the w/out Bose option.

POST 2Original post

Is yours a cabriolet? The "without Bose" is only a concern for cabriolets, as they have the Bose subwoofer in the passenger footwell against the center tunnel. So, if not a cabriolet, the Lloyds are not a problem, I have them in my 2003. -Tom

Nope, it's a coupe. Thanks for the info - I'll look them over again. Do you have any pics of the retention system Lloyd's uses?

I glued mine into the hole. Works fine

What kind of glue? Is there any kind of receiver under the carpet, or do these literally just screw into the carpet?

I don't know about a "receiver". You could look on the passenger side. It doesn't take much. On my driver side carpet the inboard screw is fine. The screw hole closest to the door on the driver's side is worn. So I just took a dab of plumber's glue and glued the screw back into the hole. Works fine for going on 3 years.

They just screw in. If you want to make it better, besides doing as above mentioned, gluing - you could lift the carpet and put something under that area so the retention plug could screw into it. Something like a round piece of thin plywood with a hole drilled the appropriate size for the retention plug to screw into. Lloyd's retention - the mats have a clip that mates to these - 2 per seat. These plastic brackets go over the seat rail bolt, under the covers. Then the mats clip to the bracket. Lloyd's retention clip -Tom

My 2001 Turbo has the same retention clips to the floor mats.

my 2001 C2 has these clips with, what I thought were factory Porsche floor mats.
