Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

4 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

When my emergency blinkers are on, there's a this faint metal noise occasionally. I'm assuming that it's a normal boring relay, where a magnet gets electricity, pulls in a metal "tongue"-like thing, and that makes the lights go on; well, sounds like the metal thing is maybe catching on something or something of the sort, so there's almost a guitar-string-like 'ding' when the lights go on. It's not preventing the flashers from working, it's just a little bit irritating sometimes. Is it an easy relay swap somewhere? If so, I'll just pick one up and do it.
