Looking for a 996 and have a couple 1999MY that I am interested in. Does anyone know if the rear parcel shelf has the rectangle perforations for the child seat tether? I've confirmed via photos that 2000+MY have it, but can't visualize on 1999, so I'm concerned that they may not have been put in that year.

I know this is an old thread, but wanted to share this here in case it pops up during someone’s search Was in the back of the 996 and decided to pull up the pad at the top and low and behold... top tether. Just need to decide if I want to cut the panel or trade
