Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

10 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

How can I lower the eve point when my son drives my car?

POST 2Original post

Seriously? Are you worried about him killing himself (and a friend or two) or just beating the crap out of your car? Get a Durametric and log any/all over revs. Tell him the first over Rev you see after he drives the car hes done. ** Hopefully hes mature enough and respects you enough that he wont drive either beyond his or the cars limits... Good Luck

POST 3Original post

Attach a block under gas pedal?🙃 too much car for him if you have to ask. Don't let him hurt himself or anyone else.

POST 6Original post

Don't hand him the keys. That'll limit it to 0. I haven't let my 19 year old drive mine yet, but that's because I haven't taught him how to drive a manual yet. My wife drove mine recently and she shifts too soon!

POST 7Original post

Wow...this is a topic I struggle with for sure....my 16yo son drives my 996 but only when I am in the car or he is following me to a car show...however, he does have a lead foot and even on our cross trip to Austin in our boxster we averaged 100 mph. My problem is he has been working at a gas station saving up for 911....hopefully it will take him a long time to save up for enough since he is working at minimum wage. :-)

POST 8Original post

A little tuning company in Opelika Al has software that can have 4 engine maps, one being a valet mode. It's pricey though at $999 and may not be available for all models, but may be what you want.. https://www.google.com/url?sa=t&rct=...0OhiB0Wkmyiyr3

POST 9Original post

Install a Sprint Booster. It has a valet mode.

If my son ever gets a 911 I will secretly remap it to valet mode....what an awesome idea :-)
