Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Hi Expert Members. I'm shopping for a 996 or 997. Can anyone tell me what is contained in a 996 factory Aero kit? Thanks.

POST 2Original post

Special bumper, side skirts and a rear spoiler.

POST 3 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

What does rear spoiler look like? Tall? Not much like the Turbo or GT3 is it?

POST 6Original post

I think the taco is 996.1 and the 996.2 aero spoiler is different.

POST 11Original post

Aerokit can vary. Some will not have side skirts. Most(I think) will have front spoiler, side skirts, and rear spoiler. Some 996.1s will also have winglets. I have not seen many 996.2 with winglets. 996.1 spoiler is the Taco spoiler. 996.2 there were two spoilers, the one pictured above, and another one.

Hi. Some views of different Tequipment aero kits :

POST 13Original post

I love my factory aero. Really makes the car look quite aggressive and you dont see many of them around.

POST 14Original post

I have a factory aerokit 2 on my mk1 2000 car. It has front, rear bumpers, side skirts and wing. Not the best pic but it gives u an idea of what it will look like.

My MK1 also has an MK2 bumper to continue the side skirt lines around the back giving it a fuller rearend.
