Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

4 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Seems like the calipers are same for both 996 C2 and Boxster S. Front rotors and pads are same part #s. But, rears dont seem to be the same. Anyone know? I found some OEM pads from Textar with part # 996 352 940 03 clearly marked on the pads. However, I cannot find that part # referenced anywhere. Trying to determine if the'll fit my 996 C2. Thx!!

POST 2 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Anyone know where to point me for an answer? 2001 996 C2 and 2001 Boxster S seem to have same brakes (calipers, front rotors and front/rear pads). However, part # for rear rotors is different even though dimensions of rear rotor on both models is 299x24. Any idea why rotors then would not be interchangeable? Thx!

POST 3Original post

Here are the part numbers for the rear brakes 996 -http://www.autoatlanta.com/porsche-parts/hardparts.php?dir=996-99-05&section=603-00

POST 4Original post

Maybe just go to pelican parts and do 2 separate searches...one for 996 and one for boxster S and see if the parts number are similar ? Might work...
