Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I have a set of 5 point harnesses that are expired, according to the labels. Rather than throw them out, are there any creative things I can do to repurpose them around the shop? The clips on the ends might be good for motorcycle tie downs where I hook to an eyelet on the trailer. Any other ideas? How about for the cam lock pieces?

POST 3Original post

List them for sale at 40% of what they were new on eBay and BMW forums. PCA does not allow expired harnesses, but many other clubs do.

POST 4 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Thank you. I had assumed they were worthless since they were out of date. I really appreciate the info!

If you're talking DE's, some PCA regions do allow expired harnesses provided they are in good working order and condition. I agree.......put them on Fleabay or even on here at 40% of new cost and they'll sell.

You can get them re-webbed with fresh dates. While the name escapes me, and the paper work went with the race car when it was sold, there is a good old boy in So. Carolina that does it. Google might be your best friend.
