Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Is this missing clamp could explain my burned coolant odor? Can i simply remove the hose, install a new clamp and plug it back without bleeding/removing air from the system?

POST 2Original post

If you're talking about the "missing clamp" on the hose that's connected to the SAI pump, that's impossible. The SAI system has nothing to do with the coolant. Also, I think I've seen some has a clamp and some don't on that SAI hose. Your coolant smell is like from a bad CAP or a cracked coolant reservoir. Both are very common.

Thanks for the quick reply !!

POST 4Original post

Mine did not have a clamp on the hose to the SAI but the parts book showed one in this position so I added one.
