Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

We wanted to share an exciting milestone from the shop that means a lot to us, especially for those of us who still love the early 996.1 five-chain engines. After a long stretch of testing and refinement, our latest five-chain build put down 379HP / 323TQ on the dyno, using the stock crank and rods . This result represents a big step forward for this platform, which hasnt seen much modern development in quite a while. The gains came from applying what weve learned through our 3-chain and Metzger programs, focusing on efficiency and design improvements rather than chasing peak numbers alone. Its been a process of experimenting, iterating, and learning and were really proud of how its come together. For anyone interested in the full rundown and discussion about the build and the path to this result, we just posted a detailed video on YouTube that goes through the project start to finish: Pushing the 5-Chain Limit Time to continue pushing.

So what did you do to achieve this ... there is no additional content in the video?

Its a capacity increase to 3.9L and headwork. I'd be happy to have 360hp to match the 996.1 GT3, anything extra would just make it even better!

24 larger valves , 24 larger head ports, 2 Cams with 12 larger duration/lift lobes, 12 larger intake riser ports, 12 larger intake ports ,13-1 CR.. 85 bigger items = ~1hp per item= ~79 more HP .....
