Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I see lots of pics of the rear seat back and seat with carpet in between where the small of your back would fall. I have a cushion there (loosely with velcro) so the seat looks whole--not a seperate seat and back. Did you guys just ditch the cushion in between the seat and back? What's up with that? Thanks.

POST 2Original post

That cushion is secured (from the factory) with merely velcro. If it's missing it is unintentional.

POST 3Original post

rwiii, In the Coupe you will see a section of carpet between the upper and lower rear sear cushions, in the Cabriolet you do not see the carpet. Coupe Cab:

POST 4 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Well, there you have it! Thanks Marc. I know in the cab the seat backs lean farther forward (because there's less room because of the top and top down storeage) so maybe thats related to why you get the bonus pad versus the coupe. Thanks again.

POST 5Original post

My pleasure! I kind of like the "complete" seat look in the cabs.

POST 6Original post

I learn so much for these discussions of minutia.

POST 7Original post

Marc, you're right the cab back pads do finish the look, but it's academic really because those little pads or lack thereof would be the last problem anyone would have trying to sit back there.

POST 8 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Yes I agree with that but with three kids between 11 & 7 I'm thrilled for anything back there as it gives me that more opportunities to drive the car! Two seats only would never work for me in this stage of my family life.
