Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

5 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

Hello All, Wondering if I need to lock the cam to install three new chain tensioners on my 5 chain 99? Or, will pinning to TDC be sufficient for all three? Or, both??? Thanks!!! Brian

POST 2Original post

Pinning should be enough but i would lock each side as u do them jic. The chain really cant jump a tooth but why chance it? I bought one of these, its nice and small and works well with the motor in the car.

I agree. Would this little guy fit a 5 chain 99? Id hate to discover it wont fit my application.

Wolfe I'd return it to Costco. I know it's a tough decision with a big item that you've already invested in assembling. But that's exactly what the manufacturer was betting on when they skimped on QC. I returned mine to Costco and felt so much better afterwards.

This is a source reference. Confirm exact model applicability in the original material.
