Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

8 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

will keep the gt1 block, 3.8L.... no dfi. Im a bit dissapointed, but understand the decision. Its a beast! http://www.drivers-republic.com/audi...0eeba268ca9e9c

POST 2Original post

Yes thats is what I heard last year from Porsche at the ALMS. No plans to race the new 9A1 motor or a Cayman. We may see the 9A1 motor in the TT but I am sure they are testing it like crazy, as they did the M96 motor that ended up blowing up everytime.

POST 3Original post

its hard to be too disapointed.... but I know what you are saying.... still, what a car!!

POST 4Original post

Definitely a sweet ride, it makes me want to but the new version but I think I will force myself to go with the .1 since I will use this car only for track events and the fact that the .1's are now touching the high 80K point.

POST 6Original post

I heard that the base Boxsters and cayman will get the audi 2.0 turbo engine in a few years...

In the interview (the link above)... it was stated that the 911 is Porsches flagship and the Boxster/Cayman wont surpassed the 911 performance wise... only because that their motorsport division can only support one model... Once they put twin turbos... etc on cayman, people would want to race them and can possibly destroy the 911 lure... JMHO.

POST 8Original post

I think only the audi V6 and V8s get twin turbo. The 2.0 get only one turbo so far. That block was originally designed for diesel engines so it can take the pressure DFI engines dish out.

This is a source reference. Confirm exact model applicability in the original material.
