Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

21 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I just got my 2001 c2, I've been looking arounds but can't find anything on side skirts. Are there oem turbo or sport side skirts that can be installed on a cab?

POST 2Original post

The side skirts in the link are MK I skirts which are for the '99 - '01 models. MK I Side Skirts

POST 3 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

these are oem, right? does anyone have a picture of one with them on? I don't want my car to look wierd.

POST 4 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Hey Rudy, I like your skirts and front bumper... what kind of parts are they and where did you get them from... ?

Pete, These are fiberglass, but I know they also have them in urethane. I got them from betterbodiesmotorsport.com here near San Diego. I've heard all the crap that has been said about fiberglass, but if you have a quality body shop do the work AND you let them take their time (about 8 weeks for me) you really can't tell the difference. Like I said, I'm really happy with the result. Rudy

POST 13 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I just want to install the side skirts, but not the aero front or rear. Has anyone done this? I don't want it to look weird, but I dont really want the whole aero kit look.

POST 14Original post

You can just buy the side skirts, they were even in the tequipment catalogs when the cars were new. For a factory look the MK1 and MkII types are your options. I think they look out of place without the aero front bumper, but there a lot of cars that came with just the side skirts installed. The full aerokit may look funny on a cabriolet

They won't look any stranger thatn Ed's GT2 wing did on his N/B '99 996. Seriously, the side skirts will look good on your car.

POST 16 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I think the entire aero kit looks a bit to racer for my tastes. I guess I'll just wait until someone with only the side skirts pops up and shows a pic.

POST 17Original post

side skirts w/o at least the front bumper looks wierd IMO

POST 18Original post

I bought the Mk1 OEM side skirts for my 2000 cab from Suncoast. Best price out there that I could find..There being painted now but I am also installing the GT3 bumper as well because I think the lines will look better. I'll take pics and post once there done.

POST 19Original post

I'll post pics. It's on my work computer. Some of us like being weird, er, rugged individualists.

I think they look fine without them, before I did the aero my car had the MkI sides from the factory and it looked great, The aero nose is not that different
