Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

4 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Has anyone cut open the airbox muffler? I mean instead of plugging that inlet, just cutting the bottom half of the muffler completely open and letting it suck air like the primary opening does. I realize reversal of this aint gonna happen tho!

POST 2Original post

MkII airboxes have about 500 holes drilled in the bottom of them, I don't really understand what or why youi are planning (thinking) of doing?

I have seen alot of folks doing the orange cap thing, basicly for sound, and just wondered why nobody ever mentioned possibly cutting the muffler open instead of plugging that inlet.

This is a source reference. Confirm exact model applicability in the original material.
