Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

6 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

Just curious, when I open the door (I think before the key is inserted) the odometer displays the current milage. Can this function be disabled to leave the computer blank? Please note, I don't want to diable the odometer, only the ###'s showing up when I open the door. It kind of saddens me to think of the depreciation everytime I get in the car. On the other hand I'm ecstatic everytime I drive the car! Adam

Think of how long you've gone without balling it up!

Strange message. As far as I know the dispay changed in 2001 on the turbo, same year for the Boxster, 2002 for the 996. We call this the new style or turbo style cluster. When you open the door the numbers light up. You will not see numbers when you open the door if you buy my 1997 Boxster, unless you push the left dash stalk. I will trade.

Thanks Tool Pants. That's pretty funny! Adam

This one is better. 99.9 miles per gallon per the trip computer on my 1997 Boxster. Think of all the money you will save when gas goes up to $3 a gallon. Trade me.
