Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

8 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

Is this a MKI or MKII side skirt 996 559 931 02

POST 2 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

No one knows the part # for an MKI and MKII side skirt??

POST 3Original post

Reid - I am afraid that my answers may only confuse you. Below is a diagram from the PET, which lists two different sets (left and right) of skirts. Unfortunately, there is no indication in the remarks or Model columns that identifies the skirt. To further add to the confusion here is a link to Pelican Parts which shows numbers: Pelican Parts - Side Skirts a. 000-044-801-54-OEM - 996 Carrera Side Skirts, 996 Carrera 2/4 (1999-07/01) b. 000-044-802-05-OEM - 996 Carrera Side Skirts, 996 Carrera 2/4 (08/01-04) c. 000-044-802-15-OEM - 996 Cup Aerokit 2 Side Skirts, 996 Carrera 2/4 (08/01-04) I think that the "996" numbers in the PET diagram are the individual parts and that the "000" numbers on Pelican are for the entire kit (#1 - #7) as shown in the PET diagram. I hope this helps.

The side skirts I listed are Porsche OEM parts. They are an option that can be ordered from the factory by the original owner, just like adding Bose Stereo, or a leather rear center console, etc.. Obviously, the the person who place the order for your car (dealer or original owner) did not order the car with side skirts.

Any idea how rare the XAA option code is on a 2004 narrow body carrera? Just bought a single owner speed yellow example with fully decked out interior (yellow seat belts, stitching, sport back seats in yellow, center console, gauges, everything). Wondering if I should put it up on BAT or keep it! The car is identical to a GT3 bar the wheels and badge!

Thats just funny, right there. I think what u meant to say is that u have a c2 car with an aerokit and is similar to a gt3 in appearence. Also gt3 interiors r grenerally very spartan because "race car".
