Is it possible to find out what options originally came on a car by the VIN? I am in the process of purchasing a 911 after selling my Boxster and have no idea where to look for this information. Thanks, Tony

Coverage and how to read this overview
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.
6 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

Hi Tony, Under the front lid there is a white sticker with all the option codes, There is a decoder here on Rennlist. Welcome!

If you have a good relationship with your local Porsche dealer they can just look up the VIN for you. Alternately as part of your buyer's due diligence you should get a pre purchase inspection (PPI). If you go to a Porsche dealer for this service, they can run the VIN and tell you the original factory options and the warranty history.
Thanks for the information! I did a search and found quite a few post relating to this. Tony
