After 4,000 miles my B&M short shift has developed some side play within gear. When holding the lever in gear, it moves about 1/8th inch right or left. Makes a cheap metal sound. Is this normal or can it be adjusted out? It was dealer installed and I haven't gotten into it. Looking at the install manual does not indicate any adjustments for this. "Short shift getting longer"

Coverage and how to read this overview
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Thanks Hammer, Been away awhile but will ask Champion (they did the install) to check it out. I believe the mounts are tight as all the slop is within the linkage (as best as my feel can guide me).
