Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

5 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Anyone have any recommendations for a good independent shop in Orange County? The dealer is far too expensive, so I want to deal with someone who is reliable and I can trust... Thanks.

All German Auto in Escondido is excellent - WEBSITE Ask for Martin (Boss) You can eat your dinner off of the floor in the service area! Great service, and they know their German engineering. Chris.

That will be a hike from Orange though. Call Strasse Auto in Newport/Costa Mesa. Jeff is the head mechanic over there and is more knowledgable than anyone I have talked with. He did the rebuild on my 996 motor and did a great job. Just sent my buddy over there and he saved several hundred off of what the dealer wanted for a 30K service.
