Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Can someone please give me the part numbers for the following pieces in red stitching? GT3RS Steering Wheel 3 Spoke airbag cover (either with or without the airbag) Alcantra shifter Alcantra e-brake thanks.

POST 2Original post

Have a dealer parts dept call Atlanta and get the #s. A lot of GT 2 and 3 parts arent listed at the dealer. only Atlanta can look them up.

POST 3Original post

Strange I have a dealer parts list and they are all on my list... GT3RS Steering Wheel -- 996.347.804.90 (red stritching) or 996.347.804.91 (blue stritching) 3 Spoke airbag cover (either with or without the airbag) -- there is not special airbag cover for a GT3RS Alcantra shifter -- 996.424.075.91 (red stritching) or 996.424.075.92 (blue stritching) Alcantra e-brake -- 996.424.031.92 (red stritching) or 996.424.031.93 (blue stritching) All these parts are special order from Germany.

POST 4 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

^ thanks loren. My father is actually in germany for a few days so i think i'll have him pick up the parts while he's there. I hate waiting for porsche 2 bring in special order parts..it takes for ever

POST 5Original post

What's retail on these items? Is blue stiching common? i dont think i've seen it... -Keith

POST 6Original post

Are there factory airbags with red stitching? Cargraphic sells a bunch of stuff at: http://www.cargraphic.com/index.php?...esolution=1024 They say they recover the stock pieces, but I have a hard time believing that is true for the GT3RS parts since their pictures look exactly like the RS parts (which I have). The air bag, however, looks too good (imprinted horn and Air Bag) to be aftermarket. Note, their blue stitched-version is a Photoshop of the red one. According to them, I would have to ship my airbag overseas (round trip) for them to recover the airbag. I don't think you can ship airbags by air, so surface would take forever in addition to the cost.

POST 7 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Hmm..that's problematic...since i don't even have a 3-spoke Airbag :'( This stupid 4-spoke wheel is a joke..i'm sick and tired of hiting my knees against it when cornering hard.

POST 8Original post

I have the same problem! Its ridiculous Is the 3-spoke smaller? I might have to make the investment... -Keith

POST 9Original post

Some of the GT3 parts just add an 03 on the end. But the dealers cant look them up that way. And if they dont have a part in stock in Atlanta, a special order from the factory usually only takes 2 weeks to the dealer. If they are not in stock in Germany, you have to wait till they make them.
