When I pull the trunk release lever in my car ('99 996) to open the trunk, my trunk no longer pops opens enough for me to reach the latch on the trunk. I believe that my garage attendent may have slammed the drunk down, like a normal car, and may have broke the latch. The trunk does closely securely, but when I open it, I basically have to pry it open with my fingers to reach the red latch. Is there an adjustment I can make to the trunk latch to fix this issues, or does it need to be taken to the dealer? Thanks.

Coverage and how to read this overview
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.
