Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

6 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

The transmission in going back in tomorrow and I don't think there is a way in hell that I can get to the second bolt on the AOS. Does anyone have a magic trick that we haven't thought of? I don't see it being done with the engine in the car and taking off half the intake. I don't want to do that again. I will have to wait and drop the engine in a few months to do it. 2002 C2 six speed, engine in the car, trans out. The engine dropped down as much as I am willing to go. Side note I have a ton of photos of the projects I have recently done (IMS, clutch/flywheel balance & install, oil cooler, sways ect). As soon as I get the trans in I will post them up with a good write up.... Thanks in advance, Scott

POST 2Original post

Only way I have found to get to the second bolt is to remove the left intake runner. I tried everything but you simply can't get to it short of dropping the whole motor.

POST 3 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

That is what I thought. It was worth a shot. Thanks again, Scott

POST 4Original post

Did you ask on www.Renntech.org? Don't know that the answer would be any different.

POST 5Original post

You can definitely do it without the manifold in place. S.

POST 6 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Thanks guys. I didn't try renntech. It was kinda a "hail mary" anyway. I got the trans bolted back in tonight and should have it wrapped up tomorrow night. I will post some photos on Thursday.
