So I'm sitting here watching a 30 minute promo on SPEED on the new FAST FIVE movie. Lots of How We Did It stuff. In the background of a lot of the actor interviews, and in the actual movie footage is a MKI 996 in Mexico Blue (Gulf-Wyer Blue for you 917 enthusiasts), Aero-something kit, dark blue side stripes, matching blue roll cage. Now we have a No Excuses reason to see this movie (although I would have gone anyway). If you see the promo on SPEED, or actually see the movie, you can come back to this thread and argue about the actual name for the color of the car. LOL

Coverage and how to read this overview
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

We have a thread over on the GT3 forum talking about the poser Porsche in the movie. 2001 C2 with MkII GT3 front bumper and sides with a MkII GT3RS real wing and side foils. Barf. And yes, I'll watch
Taking my son to see it this afternoon.
Spoiler alert__________ just a plot guess...the 996 takes a bullet in the IMS, bullet ricochets hitting the RMS, the car explodes in a giant fireball.
It sounds pretty cool in the video link below, but those cheap aftermarket wheels and stock ride height have got to go! Over 100,000 miles on the clock......not too shabby. What IMS problem.... http://www.insideline.com/porsche/91...ing-video.html
the movie itself was good; much better than the last one. Too bad it wasn't a real gt3rs. I thought it looked weird and after researching it, found out its not a real gt3rs. Well, at least they included a Porsche
Lol @ the Jetta shift ****.
whats with the bolt in the e-brake? talk about a hack job.... duct tape!

Keeps the handbrake lever in position to grab for drifting. Wait, you mean you haven't done this critical mod? How do you drift your 911?
I could think of better hacks than that bolt.... As for drifting the 911.... just lift on the corners, then back on again.
How fast does it get to the Dumpster?
Quotes source post: 8512740
I think that I'd need about 200 more HP to drift in my C4....
