Help needed -- was going to buy a replacement unit from the local Becker agent but he only had CDR22 replacements and said this would not fit in place of my CDR23. So -- on ebay from the USA is a CDR23 from a Cayenne 2003 onwards model -- will this fit into my 2002 996? Also -- the USA has AM and FM just like we do here in Australia -- can someone please tell me what is the upper and lower band width for your AM and FM bands? (so I can see if they are the same as here in OZ) Thanks

Coverage and how to read this overview
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.
4 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

Answer myself -- did a search and Wikipeodia tells me US and Aust AM and FM are the same -- one question answered.
I don't think it will fit, faceplate is different
Thanks Marc, yes -- there looks to be a slight difference to the two main ***** (996 is smooth, Cayenne is knurled) but otherwise they look the same -- could it be that the size is different? I thought radios were standard sizes now-a-days. Any Radio Fitters out there?
