Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

2 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Greetings, I purchased my first Porsche, a 2001 Rainforest Green 996 C2, two weeks ago. It is by far the best car I've ever owned (Ford Mustang Guy). Let me apologize upfront - I did not bring a digital camera with me while I'm attending a school for the Navy so I don't have any pics to post. I was invited to a Porsche gathering in Dartmouth, MA last weekend where there were over 40 Porsches in attendance. I had the only green car there and was told that not many 911's were sold in this color. I've been searching the web for the last couple of hours for 996 production numbers (including this site). Does anyone have this information or know where I can find it? Thanks in advance. Kevin

At the 997 launch in Liverpool my 996 was used as a back-drop, along with a 993, 964 and 356. The OPC put a small sticker on my car giving details of mileage and purchase costs together with the production numbers of all 986 & 996 cars todate... 440,000
