Any thoughts on how this would look on the back of a 996 cab? http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...category=33638 THanks for the honest feedback (which I know always get from this forum)

Coverage and how to read this overview
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

They have photos of it on a cab. Looks kind of lame to me, but to each his own.
To me it isn't a question of how it looks but how it functions. A wing isn't just a wing. Unknow to most the air at the back of the car is drag to be gotten rid of. Sure a wing can cause down force but what is its added drag from causing a vacume set up in the rear if it does so. You could get drag from the downforce and drag from the vacume set up behind the wing. I'd just stick with what the factory set up. But eh.
nope! fugly.......
reminds me of "Shallow Hal" (anyone get that?)
Just like the movie...

+1 lame
Skip it!
I agree. Keep it as God had intended.
I like it. Its cheap, subtle, and maintains the original functionality. I imagine you will get different responses on 6speed where they're probably younger and more into wings and rims.
Hmmm, I'd give it a miss..

that's hilarious!
techart has a spoiler that looks almost the same.....
Hmmm.... I kinda like the way it looks. I don't think I'd put it on MY car, but I like the way it looks on someone else's car.
here is the Techart one on my step dads C4.... I like it.
Mine shrank in the wash so it looks like its stock.

I don't think this is an issue functionally, just one of taste. The OE spoiler on our cars is just that, a spoiler, not a wing. Its purpose is not to generate downforce (which it doesn't), it's to 'spoil' airflow so as to prevent lift . Tacking something on to the end of it might add some drag, but nothing meaningful beyond that.
It is a replica based on the TechArt Rear Wing I. At least the Techart is supposed to be somewhat functional, albeit limited by the small footprint. If you notice it is a bit different, a bit larger, than the Techart. I like the Techart better but it is more expensive too.
