Coverage and how to read this overview
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Could also be head gasket. Do a leak down test to be sure. This is different from a compression test. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Leak-down_tester I would probably flush my coolant first, and see if oil returns. What is more common with a problem of this nature is excessive pressure in the coolant lines, caused by exhaust gasses leaking into the coolant system and adding additional (excessive) pressure.
unfortunately a leak down may possibly not detect head or block cracks.

Given that it's a '99, there is a 'history' of cracked heads on the early M96 blocks http://www.autofarm.co.uk/pdf/Total911_July06.pdf Best of luck!
thank you very much. was just contacted by the indy and was told that its the cooler. was pressure tested and leaking
