Hey guys we just hooked up with MASHAW and Getty Design and now offering these 996 parts. Alot cheaper then most Gemballa, TechArt, and RUF but with same stellar quality. They have fiberglass and full carbon fiber versions. http://www.vividracing.com/catalog/i...2336_2397_2530 Here is a snap shot -
Sorry but I just had to chime in before people started thinking that they are saving money getting the MA Shaw RUF look-alike bumper instead of the genuine article...there is a BIG difference. The MA Shaw front bumper is made of fiberglass while the genuine RUF bumper is made of polyurethane like the OEM bumper. Polyurethane can take more of a beating than fiberglass which will crack easily. Something to keep in mind especially if your car is lowered. Polyurethane is more flexible and will fit better than fiberglass too.
MASHAW does not have a RUF replica. However you are correct in materials of the RUF as I have it on my car. Most aftermarket kits are from Fiberglass or in this case carbon fiber too. Many of our TUNER cars we race at the road course have full fiberglass. Fitment is the same durability is the same, but if you smash it, crack it, or anything you can repair it. The durability is so strong that it takes a big impact to break one of those... Just my experience and opinion. I myself have the carbon hood and carbon trunk coming. THanks! Dan
You have a picture of the RUF replica bumper on your website. I guess that's by Getty Design and not MA Shaw?
Big difference is right Programmatore, I wouldn't even talk about these bondo-tuner specials and Ruf in the same sentence, jmo having been through the aftermarket glass thing. Been there, done that, got the t- shirt, don't want another.
question... if I get the MASHAW turbo front bumper, can I add the RUF turbo front splitter to it? I'm wondering if the MASHAW turbo bumper is the same dimensions as the OEM turbo front.... Also, does the price include the OEM turbo grills or are the grills from MASHAW? thanks Dan
who makes a good street/track light weight hood?
The MASHAW hood is extremely light and great quality. We have those as well. As far as your question EVO333, I would awesome the front bumper is slightly narrower, so it may not fit.
