Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

4 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

In North Florida we have been having some frog strangling rains. Do any of you know how easy it is to stall out a 996 in water? It would seem to me that the rear engine location would make it less prone to flooding compared to a front engine car...true? Also, my experience with my C4 make it seem like a great car on wet roads. I can see that there is a temptation to try to defy the laws of physics it feels so solidly planted even on a wet road. Blessings, KevinJax

POST 2Original post

C4 is not immune from hydroplaning or hanging the rear end out in the dry.

POST 3Original post

I drove my C2 about 200 miles in torrential texas downpour with the donut spare on a rear wheel. No problems although I clearly was limiting how fast I was going. That gave me a lot of confidence on driving in the rain with four regular tires.

POST 4Original post

Yup, I just did it (PSM on) about 10 minutes ago It comes back inline incredibly easy too.
