Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Is there some place we can get a copy of our original MSRP window sticker? Thanks!

POST 2Original post

Don't know about a copy of the window sticker, however you can get a Certificate of Authenticity . At $90-100 it's a little spendy for what it is but it's kind of cool to have.

and even then yu only have a 50/50 chance of a Certificate of Authenticity being correct... The COA just shows option, not cost. Plenty of reports of the COA's not being correct, the one I got for my 86 911 does not even list all the factory options.

I figured a fine automobile like Porsche would for sure have this available. I was able to obtain a copy of my MSRP sticker, and build sheet, for my C5 Vett and also, if I choose, one for my '06 GTO. Thanks guys!

POST 5Original post

I called Porsche customer service a few years ago and they told me MSRP. The same people you order the C of A thru. I'm uncertain if they and give you the sticker copy though.

POST 6Original post

Better grab that GOAT window sticker quickly - Pontiac is fading into the sunset.

That's odd, the COA I received last summer lists the MSRP, as advertised in the link I provided. Yours does not? I haven't seen reports of incorrect COAs but I don't doubt it. There are some options my car has that do not show up on the cert. Oh well.

POST 9Original post

The COA for my '97 does not list MSRP. I even called PCNA, and was told this info was not available for all years. PCNA also said they will not provide a re-print of a window sticker.

POST 10Original post

I know at least GM companiys like chevy used to put the build sheets in the head liner. MY 71 SS camaro had the build sheet up there.

POST 11Original post

Wow. Did you have to tear up the headliner to access the build sheet?

POST 12Original post

A few years ago I considered trading in my current P-car for another at my local P-car dealer. The salesman entered the serial # in his computer and produced a report that listed my cars options and options price, car color, warranty date, orginal dealer and the MSRP ($76,067). I kept it as sort of a poor mans COA. The report is titled "Vehicle Options Detail"

There is a discount for being a PCA member. As a nice surprise last week, a Certificate of Authenticity showed up in the mail for my new GT3. Without even a request, my dealer ordered one as a bonus...and yes I got a discount on my GT3.

POST 14Original post

When I registered my Porsche in Arizona, the DMV seemed to have the original MSRP in their system - or maybe it was an estimated MSRP - I am not sure - but the clerk rattled off a specific original figure.

Car was drag racing and circle tracking with the previous owner who pulled it out. I registered it for the street with its .513 lift 306 duration cam and all. Fun car but it rusted bad vacationing in the deserts for a year and a half at a time so I sold it. The old cars do have the build sheets up there if its the original headliner.

POST 16Original post

Quotes source post: 7322724

Correct, with the discount it's $85 for '94 to current year cars . Add in shipping and the total comes to $90.95. That was cool of your dealer to surprise you with it.

POST 17Original post

coa does have the msrp! no doubt, and mine had the correct options etc.
