OK, i have searched long and hard and Found some excellent advice how to get the dash out, and take off the front cover. Now I need to get to the bulbs which illuminate the dials. And I am stuck. I cant get the black part of the dash off (the back part) which I assume I need to to get to the bulbs Anyone done this job or can give some advice, would be greatly appreciated. Reason for doing this - I have a bulb or 2 out behind the rev counter and half the speedo. Probably one bulb my guess.

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

You do need to separate the cluster to got to those bulbs. If you look inside you will see a black plastic tab which keeps it together. I reach in there with a thin bladed tool and release the tab. Goofy design.
Thanks for the info The tab you mention you need to insert the sblade in, is it at the top or bottom of the cluster. I see the big tab on the bottom. But can so no other tabs. Thanks again
Hard to explain over the internet. The black tab you see is at the bottom of the cluster. The other tab is hidden inside the cluster. Look at the back of the cluster and you will see a white paper sticker with a bar code. To the top left and right there is an opening shaped like a triangle. Get a good light and look for the internal tab. You stick your thin flat bladed tool in one of the openings and release the tab that is keeping the top of the cluster together. Easy once you have taken a few apart. Still a goofy design.
Great Thanks for your help. Got it open :-)
