Coverage and how to read this overview
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.
5 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

I think that's the signal for "pop" Pop is where the radar is turned on and off for a millisecond and some detectors can't detect it because they don't scan the frequencies quickly enough or it just gets rejected by the processor. Radar gun manufacturers claim that POP is not accurate enough to use as a legal method to determine speed but that does not stop the Fuzz from using it.
The "j" means that the V1 has analyzed the signal and decided that it is no threat.
[QUOTE=jury_ca]I think that's the signal for "pop" Pop is where the radar is turned on and off for a millisecond and some detectors can't detect it because they don't scan the frequencies quickly enough or it just gets rejected by the processor. QUOTE] No, the signal for "pop" is a distinct "pop" sound .... as if you have uncapped a bottle of champagne .... or flipped your finger in your cheek. You can hear it constantly on the V1 website.
From V1's email response: What the Dee-Dah-Doo Tone means Valentine One is designed to recognize and ignore phony POP signals transmitted by poorly-designed detectors. Occasionally a false alarm will be started before verification is certain. If it then determines the source is a junk detector, it will notify you it is retractingthat alert with a Dee-Dah-Doo sound. A flashing J ( ) indicating junk will flash briefly in the Bogey Counter.
