I have a 2000 C2 Cab with only 12,500 miles. I bought the car new(special ordered) and fully loaded. Sticker was $86,000 with options. Artic/Black, full leather, Painted center console, rings, silver dials. $5,000 Paris Audio system, Fabspeed mufflers and Champion 18's with new SO3's. You know the routine, got married, had a baby and the rest is history. Just haven't been able to use it that much as it's my 3rd car. Is there that much difference from my car to a 997S Cab or should I just keep it and drive it into the ground and be happy? Oh yeah, she's paid for so that's nice. I am trying not to get caught up in the trade up craze but it's tough. The new ones look great but I am afraid mine's not worth $**** compared to it's true value and I am not really gaining anything except a new car payment? Thanks, Tracy

Coverage and how to read this overview
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Keep it. Take the 2000 out when you can. Why spend the extra dough when you'll probably drive the new one as much as the 2000. I just finished driving the 997s Cab for several days. there is a big world of difference. In fact its nite and day. It is perhaps the finest car i have ever driven. At one time it can be as tame as a kitty cat, and a nano second later she is a screaming banshee that stops on a dime.
I want that screamin banshee. But my 996CAB is pretty much a screamin banshee herself. She see's alot of track time and has all the mods that I care to do for the track that make a difference but still have the car look stock (just a devil in disguise). Take Jim's advice Tracy, you will be much happier. Basically you would spend $50K to have a newer car that will serve the same purpose of that every so often weekend drive. Now take that $50K and put in in a tax free savings plan for your kids education
