Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

5 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Guys, Driving last night in my 2002 996. Heard an odd sound like something falling off the car. This morning I noticed that the oblong silver "thingy" on my driver's side Xeon headlights had fallen off. Anyone know a) what this is called b) what it does -- and most importantly, where the heck I can find one! Looked at some parts catalogs/lists and I can't find anything listed. Thanks for any help!

POST 2Original post

You are missing a silver headlight thingy...I think it's the headlight washer?

POST 3Original post

Sounds like the headlight washer cover. They are cheap and easy to change. Your dealer should have one in stock, or you can order one from Sunset Imports, Suncoast Porsche, Pelican Parts, etc.

POST 4Original post

Take the other one off so it matches. Then no one will notice.
