Getting ready to do my muffler delete/bypass pipe install, and was wondering if the 2 large cavities in the fenders, where the mufflers once resided, could cause any aero dynamics issues/problems at higher speeds?
I would guess that the difference caused by the mufflers would not be noticeable (though theoretically, a bit more lift, a bit more drag and slightly more wind noise seem plausible).
I wondered about this myself. I've had mine off for around 3yrs now and can't notice one bit of difference, besides the sound. I've had it up to "above legal speeds"...
There must be some slight parachute effect at "track" speeds.
