Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

1 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I just purchased a 2004 996 Anniversary, and I intend to autocross it in SCCA A-stock. The SCCA stock rules allow any modification that could have been ordered and installed by the FACTORY (not dealer installed) at that time. I also have a copy of the 996 AE guide, the 2004 911 guide, and the 2004 Tequipment guide. Quick few questions: 1) Could you get the factory to install GT3 or Turbo wheels on a non GT3/Turbo car like mine? Trying to get the widest wheel possible. The 911 guide only lists 18x8,18x10 as options. 2) Could you get the OEM spacers in the Tequipment guide installed at the factory? 3) I didn't see the OEM short shifter kit in my 2004 Tequipment guide, but it exists now in the online 996 Tequipment guide. Could this be installed at the factory in 2004 or was this offered / developed later? 4) Was PCCB brakes only offered on 4S/TT cars? Could it be installed at the factory for my nb AE? Thanks!
