Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Cross post from For Sale section I have an offer on Ebay that expires in a day and I wanted to just try one last time to get these sold to a rennlister. Im selling these 987 19" "Carrera Sport" wheels. They are Boxster / Cayman sizes. 19" x 8.5" ET 55mm Front and 19" x 10" ET42mm Rear. These are the wheels with the "GT Silver Metallic" painted centers. They have Pirelli P-Zero Rosso tires front and rear. 235/35/19 front and 275/30/19 rear. Wheels are sold with generic center caps as shown in the last picture on the Ebay ad (below) $1200 valid until midnight Sunday 3/29/09 [email removed] [phone removed] More pics are available here http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...#ht_500wt_1205

POST 2Original post

Will they fit my 996 narrow body? Tire Condition? Thanks [email removed]

POST 3Original post

I am no expert, but the rears would stick out almost a full inch more than your normal set up (fender bubs)..fronts would have 1/2 more towards the shock (same outside- might rub on shock or inner fender wall?) please dont quote me on this, I am hoping someone will confirm or tell me I am way off. Ed

POST 4Original post

Gregg, Ed is correct. The fronts will fit and extend only 1mm more than an 8" wheel with 50mm offset. However, compared to a stock 10" with 65mm offset, these rear wheels will extend an additional 23mm. For comparison purposes, 15mm spacers on a stock rear wheel is about as far as you want to go and since these are 19" wheels, it increases the chance of the tires rubbing on the fender.

POST 5 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

The offsets are not ideal. These would work great on a 986 987 which is actually what i bought them for originally. Maybe someone here has one.....

POST 6Original post

Thanks, They would LOOK perfect on my 02 but they have to fit also.

POST 8 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Cast, no idea on bare wheel weight, I didn't measure
