Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

19 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

  • Rennlist: 1 discussions

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

This is one example of what I've been hearing: http://www.automotiveforums.com/t735..._failures.html I have an '04 3.6L 996 NA. I don't track the car. Should I be concerned about an engine explosion/failure? What do you think?

POST 3Original post

Nothing to see here...keep moving...keep moving.

POST 4Original post

So lets drag up old posts from other forums. Gees-ch!

POST 5Original post

That thread is almost 10 years old..... Gonna go back to the 911 section now.... this is getting old. Rather talk about 25 year old cars and fire potential....

This is the exact reason why I have not been here as often. Old indeed.

POST 10Original post

I am thinking Pete has it right: this is old and not even relevant for me the 911 board is kinda slow PP is too darn fast FB is not my thing.....I'm going over to the Honda board to find Tim - err 997 I meant WOW speaking of 997's there is an 11' turbo triple black coupe at the shop with the ceramic brakes, center locks and black powder coated wheels...they are working to get more power out of it and OMG is it amazing! The guy is super cool and tracks it too! Man is that sucker sweet - only came with 500hp and 500 torque so you can see why he wants more

POST 11Original post

How can you stand to drive a turbo with only 500HP, I'm sure it can't even get out of my wife's ford minvan's way!

One mechanic says to the other...."Hey what's that white stuff on your mouth?" The other mechanic says "Oh....just had some ice cream" First mechanic replies "Thank god! I thought you just got done fixing a blown seal"

POST 16Original post

Went for a tour through RM Nat'l Park this weekend. Happy to report, no IMS issues. Lining up for the tour.

POST 17Original post

Well one of the issues is that driving your car when its broke is bad for it. Sure you'll get better gas mileage but it isn't adviseable.
