Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Whats everyones opinion on a C4S darker car color ( Black, grey) to have the "S" symbol in Red? I've seen a few with it but just wondering.. Part of me thinks it compliments the red strip that goes accross even though its a darker shade on the strip. thanks

POST 2Original post

I've been considering this as well... I have a dark blue car. I think it looks good on the cars when I've seen it.

POST 4Original post

Gimmicky. I liken it to the Jetta guys puttin BORA on their VW commuter car. Or the Honda guys getting the painted red badges except the S would be worse since the factory doesn't make a red S available... ever.

POST 7Original post

It looks good on Lapis Blue cars too, but sometimes when I got going too fast, the cape would deploy too early.

POST 9Original post

I did it to my seal gray C4 S. I did it myself with the S on the car. Masked it out with an Xto and a magnafying glass. I used red nail polish, 1000 grit wet/dry and took my time on a nice Sat. afternoon. Looks nice and would do it again. BTW, six beer job I was thinking about getting another S and having an SS, but I don't think so

POST 14Original post

I think the red S looks awesome. My car was ordered by the OW debadged. I wanted the badges. I wanted the red S. The only place I found them was at Bumperplugs. But the cost was such that it was too darn expensive for what it is to be justifiable in principle. I know...need to make money, recover tooling costs, blah blah blah... The reasonings don't make it any more palatable. Thus, I have the more boring grey S...but I'm very happy with it and don't feel like I got ripped off each time I look at it.

Marc, I guess it depends upon who you are trying to impress/attract!

POST 21Original post

OK, how about this one. For some reason the S appears to be a little distorted!

POST 23 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

LOL at the pics here...but here is one..sorry took the pic off autotrader.. I realized the "S" has to be cut to properly fit into the "4"

POST 24Original post

Did you paint the S or did you buy it that way?

POST 27Original post

I think a red S is cool if you like it. I think it pops. God forbid Porsche isn't the OEM. That is blasphemy

POST 28Original post

I have a silver C4S and I put the red S badge on. Porsche people comment all the time. It is very neat.

POST 29Original post

Is the red S something I can buy and stick on? Any details on vendors etc?

Hey Surfer...is it possible for you to post the side pic of your car so I can see the red S on the wheels? -Manil

Eric at BumperPlugs sells them at $80 I believe...

POST 32Original post

That does look pretty cool. I'd be inclined to sand and paint it myself, if I could pry it off without damage. +1 on the request for a full side view of the car showing the center caps.

POST 33Original post

Opps i will rephoto the wheels tomorrow in the sun. i had the dealer do the deck lid for $40. he took the badge off the deck lid and sprayed it off the car more later surfer161

POST 34Original post

Isn't the big red S for traffic cops to see walking up to the car? I think it stands for Stick it to 'em.

Bought this from Eric at bumperplugs. The color of this shade of red is "taillight red". Here is how it looks on a Basalt black c4S. -Manil
