I'm looking at a 1999 996. On the option code sticker it has a code numbered 413. When translated by the Porsche decoder you get 18" turbo look allow wheels. Being that a turbo did not exist in 1999 what do these wheels look like? This looks like the wheel that is on the car now but wheel enhancement says this style only came in the 17" flavor: http://www.wheelenhancement.com/inde...elDetail&id=35 Did these come in an 18" size in 1999? Your help is appreciated. Also, how do you know if they are hollow spoke? Would that be an additional option?

My 2000 996 has 18" chrome polish turbo rim. Don't you think it should be available for the 99 too?
It's the 18" turbo wheel, Remember the 993T had pretty much the same wheel.
The 18" turbo and turbo look II wheel is a little different, I believe:
It's hard to tell the difference between the rims (style wise I mean) isn't it?
Real simular looking. 18" wheel were and option for 1999 I believe. So I figure if turbo wheels were available then that's an added option to the 18". Something like that right?
The picture presented by the OP looks like the stock 17" wheel.

Thay sure do... Pretty sure this is the "Turbo" wheel the 996 should come with, it's what was on my 02 when I bought it. The "technology" wheel. ]
My '02 C4S has this one (very similar, but not the same):

that came only on the WB models... its also 11" vs the 10" on the NB. The turbo wheels that came with the NB is the one that Marc shows... and was an option on the earlier 996.
Interesting how similar they all are...
I confiremed they are in deed 18's but damn they look just like 17's.
Take a picture!

I find these to look much better than any other twist version. I love mine.
The turbo look wheel option looks just like the Turbo and C4S it's just alittle narrower on the back two wheels (10's vs 11's), but from the face they look the same. The GT2 wheel is even wider (12), but it still looks the same as well.
MY 04 C4S has the turbo wheel in which the spoke is flush with outside rim and the little semi circles between the spokes ( see Dennis's picture). It is a 11" rim. It is also hollow in the back
You guys should check out http://www.944racing.de/reload.php?u...elweights.html (sorry about the url--doesn't load right without the first part). The first one Dennis C posted is a stock 996 17" wheel. Between the two turbo wheels, the one Marc Gelefsky posted is the "Turbo I" 993/early 996 version, available in both narrow and wide offsets, but only up to 10" wide rears. The turbo twist Dennis posted is the "Turbo II" 996 version introduced in 2001, and is available in widths and offsets and solid and hollow spokes for both narrow and wide bodies, but only the wide bodies get the hollow 11" rears. The link above lists all the options and part numbers.
