Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

2 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Hello, Trying to figure out if I can fit 997.1or2 rear carpet into a 2000 996.1. I am trying to find someone who has done it, or can actually confirm it will work. Either no one has done it before, or no one is talking about it. Yes I have Googled it, an have only been able to find one person mention that they knew someone who did it with no problems. Just need a little bit more concrete evidence than that. If I need to be the guinea pig I will, because I don't think I will have a problem selling it if it doesn't work. Thank you, Josh

No it will not fit properly. You can MAYBE cut it to look half way presentable…just buy a 996 rear carpet, easily available.
