Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

2 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Please, I need some pros and cons on a decision I am trying to make. Do I send my 2003 TT to Ruf for upgrades or order new 2007 997 TT? I would have very similar finances in either project, and other than warranty (which would be huge difference obviously) I am really in a quandary......Help?! thanks kwickr

There are 2 very different budgets here. What are you looking to do? A 997 Turbo is $120K+ options. An 03' Turbo will be $80's-90's depending on options, especially if it is an X50. You only need an air filter, diverter valves, an exhaust and an ECU upgrade to get 600 HP out of an X50 (about $6-7K if going GIAC). For speed the older turbo is a better bacng for the buck.
