After seeing a recent LVDell post, I figured I was skating on thin ice. So howdy, I'm a newcomer to the 996 Forum having recently purchased a '99 C2, but have been an active participant in the 951 forum for a number of years. I'm somewhat of a hands on kind of guy and mostly been interested in performance modifications only. So it's interesting that the first mods I did to my 996 were clear corners/side markers and aluminmum bezel rings. Here's a couple of requisite pics.

Coverage and how to read this overview
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Russ - nice 996, I LOVE the color. Welcome to the 996 Forum! You are a smart man, you avoided being scolded & chastized by Dell, Good Job! (Sorry, Dell I couldn't resist!)
Holy crap! I've never seen an interior color combination like that. Welcome to the 996 house, it's 99 and 44/100 percent pure, and it floats!
Thanks gota911, I like the color too. It's probably just the crappy pics riad, because it's a black C2 with a Savannah Beige int. and matching GT3 leather seats. Not too unusual I think.
Welcome, Russ - great car, bitchin seats. From the pics I thought the car was purple!
Welcome - looks great - I agree with the others - I like the color combo and those seats look great.
It's just the color of the sky in the very shiny (at the moment anyway) car. Not quite like blk on blk's car but not bad.
I thought the car was purple with a yellow interior too! Either way, looks fantastic.
Russ...you are not on thin ice Just razzin' you for no pics! I (as are many others) are admitted pic ******! And Tim.....you know who I am talking about Anyway, love the GT3 seats! Take that sucker to the track.
Dell - How many times do I have to remind you that you are a pic *****... I am a pic ****!
Russ, congrats on the car and welcome. Like everyone else has already said, your interior is spectacular. The seats have me 'purple...ahem....black...ahem...green' with envy.
love the seats..are they comfortable....no I don't mean that comfortable!
The aluminmum bezel rings look great. Where did you purchase them?
thought it was purple beautiful nonetheless
Chris - I got my aluminum bezels from Brandywine Porsche. I think they were $99. Here are a couple of pics.
Thanks all. Actually the second time I turned the key in the ignition was to pull the car onto the road course at GIR (Gateway). So I got to learn about the car in the best environment - the track. I got the bezel rings from Luxe Imports (?) on ebay as well as the clear corners and side markers. The seats are very comfortable, at least to me they are, as they are a good fit. If I was a bit broader in the beam they wouldn't be so great day in and day out.
Welcome. Looks great
Welcome to the forum. I thought your car was Vesuvio Metallic at first -- I guess the digital camera is a bit overexposed and a little on the cool side. Here's a Vesuvio Metallic cab that kinda looks like the color in your pics:
Welcome Russ..I love that interior
You're just going to have to paint it purple now... the people have spoken.
Uh....yeah, right. I'll get it painted on my way to seeing "Broke Dick Mountain".
I likes it www.red964.com/html/dyndex.php www.projectsonly.co.uk
Welcome to Rennlist. Beautiful car. Love the GT3 seats.
Congratulations on the new car. Hopefully you will find this thread at least half as entertaining as the 951 group of characters. I actually thought the color was midnight metallic blue. I have that color and sometimes it looks a little purple when backlit. Great seats.
I'd have to say the the group here seems to be a bunch of pretty good eggs. Generally funny and good at defusing issues that arise from the inherent lack of visual/tonal communication that is de facto with internet forums. I think there is more chest thumping on the 951 board. Maybe 'cause the cars are monsters in disquise...not quite civilized.
Welcome! Those seats are awesome with that interior!
car looks awesome!!!!
